DELHI POLICE NEW ‘LOST REPORT’ ANDROID APP

Delhi police is also going HI- TECH day by day. Delhi Police showed that they can also do what the US Police can do by launching online lodging of complaint and reports and it can be done also through ‘LOST REPORT” android app. And it is improving day by day.

Earlier For lodging a complaint we have to go local police station for lodging a lost report/complaint in which we waste 2-3 hours easily. There will be no enquiry or investigation of the report filed through app but you can use the acknowledgment for a proof of legal document wherever required. If you think that your thing is being stolen than you have to go to the police station for filing F.I.R.

After lodging the report you will get a LR No. which can be used to obtain duplicate documents and for preventing the documents from misuse. For example ;-if you lost your RC or Driving license, then you can lodge report through the app and can use it for issuing duplicate documents.

This app was launched with the words of B S Bassi, Delhi Commissioner, “The app, LOST REPORT, was developed after complaints reported that a lot of time and patience went into getting complaints registered at the police station.
