Whats app
claims to have 50 million monthly active users in INDIA. They want to extend
its market more and attract the people by making convenient ways to reach
people.
Whats app
has done a tie up with Airtel, to offer a affordable and optimized internet
plan. This is not a first time that Whats app had a done a tie up with any
network company. They had tied up DOCOMO earlier.
There will
be a Rs. 42 recharge for the new internet plan which will be valid for 30 days
and a 200 MB data usage. You just have to message WHATSAPP to number 121 to
activate the plan.
This is a
very intelligent step by Whats app to have tie up with Airtel, as there are a
large number of Airtel internet users, And they can reach to a large number of
users by this tie up.
